The Baby-sitters Club was my idea and, if I may say so, it was a pretty good one. Actually, the club is a business. The members meet three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons from five-thirty until six. During the meetings, parents call us to line up baby-sitters for their kids. With seven of us to answer the phone, the parents are bound to find a sitter with just one telephone call. That’s a nice arrangement, which is probably why the BSC is so successful. Well, it’s part of the reason

I liked the book because it was really spooky and exiting. I am 10.

The book looked as if someone had chewed part of the book up and not very clean at all for person to read.

When the Baby-sitters are victims of a series of dangerous and mysterious crimes, they decide that someone is stalking them. Kristy, Stacey, Claudia and Abby head for a ski weekend, but the mystery follows them there, and gets even more terrifying when a blizzard hits and no one can protect them from their stalker...

I found this particular installment of TBC to be particularly lacking in three ways. Firstly, the characterisation, which is usually so strong, was quite weak and I didn't really "feel" for any of the girls. Secondly, I found the plot trite, and I noticed that it seemed to hinge on the chapter headings. Thirdly, I found the grammar simplistic and over-repetetive. However, I found that upon multiple readings, the book avails itself to the patient reader, e.g., upon deconstructing the plot itself, we find multiple removals from the unknown X plot-construction-algorythym and thus each major incident in the plot adds a new level. If this is taken into account, the author's satiric intentions come to light. Is not the Stalker the inevitability of human death, and the girls denial of the same? To live in perpetual youth has been a common theme in the human mythological corpus since the earliest recorded literature, and Ms. Martin's exploration of the theme is done with sincerity and a writer's touch.

I am not a fan of babysitter club mysteries. But this is a rather chilling story that manages to keep even a skeptic like me on the edge of my seat. Its full of real dangers unlike most of the books, and some REALLY creepy stuff happens (again unlike most of the series). I would recommend this book to anyone on a snowy or stormy night. Very exciting, very attention grabbing!

I like the way Abby had enough courage to throw the chunk of ice at Woodie Tate. I also respect the way the BSC handled the situation. I think it's funny the way Shannon ( human ) scolded Astrid. I think '' Baby-Sitters Beware'' was a good book and would recommend it.
I am not as excited about this book as I was others. This one was okay, it just didn't have that special I-am-a-writer-you-can't-copy-my-style touch if you know what I mean. It was like a totally different writer wrote the book, you know? If u don't u can check it out at your library for yourself-but beware! I would rather you read it before you buy it. You might be disappointed a little bit. I was.
