Probation and Parole book. It occurs to me that these authors might have included a first-hand view from the parolees and probationers themselves. Always looking from the outside in becomes boring and tedious. Bianca Deirish rated it liked it Feb 12, 2014. Kenyata Clinton rated it it was amazing Sep 06, 2016. this was required reading for a class. It did a good job of explaining important info such as differences between probation and parole and the processes for each, beginning at the time the crimes are committed. The writing is very dry, and I believe there are better options out there if you are pleasure reading. This seems like a college level book, but about anyone can read it and gain the basic desired knowledge.

This is a great textbook for learning about the basics of probation and parole. It's not very long, chapters are short, and the authors make it easy reading. I had to purchase this for a college class and it's one of my favorite classes because of how much less time this takes to read compared to my other classes.
