So glad I did, because the physical exam sections are set up so that if a patient has any abnormal signs or answers to questions, Bates gives you guidelines about differential diagnoses right next to the question, doing a lot of the inductive reasoning for you. I think Bates' pictures are better than Seidel's as well.
