First, we observed the colour data patterns of fruit and nonfruit regions from . This work investigates the impact of the quasiexpertise of vision experts on the structure and performance of the acquired knowledge base.

First, we observed the colour data patterns of fruit and nonfruit regions from different image sets. With consistant data patterns it was found that a suitable normalization could produce an invariant colour descriptor. For these simulated scenes, 93% of the mixed pixels were restored to the surface to which they belong. The findings provide insights into the design of features and strategies to facilitate the use of quasiexpertise for knowledge acquisition in computer vision.
