15 seconds can tear your life apart. I generally like Andrew Gross's books, but 15 Seconds, which I bought when it came out but just got around to reading was very disappointing. Henry Steadman didn't know what was about to hit him when he pulled up to a red light. A successful Florida plastic surgeon, he is in town to deliver a keynote address at a conference when suddenly his life becomes an unrelenting chase to stay alive. The plot was silly, and doesn't show that the author had the expert input that he acknowledges. I could poke numerous holes in the plot and I'm not law enforcement or medicine.

The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution protects the individual right to keep and bear arms. It was ratified on December 15, 1791 as part of the Bill of Rights.

A financial scam was committed once every 15 seconds in the first half of the year, prompting a new campaign to highlight the risks. More than one million cases of card, cheque, phone or online fraud were recorded from January to June, Financial Fraud Action (FFA) said. That was a 53% rise on the same period last year.

15 Seconds is a story of how even the best of lives can be destroyed in just an instant-and of an innocent man, framed for murder, who has to save the person he loves the most, and who cannot go the police to clear his name.

The one principle taught to the writers is to always make it harder for the protagonist. Usually, in most novels, this principle takes over a bit later.
In 15 Seconds, the Protagonist, a successful plastic surgeon Henry Steadman, goes through the worst possible wickedness one can imagine, right from the start. So much so that, to catch my breath, I divided reading Steadman’s earliest disasters into several days. This poor guy who becomes a wanted man was about to lose everything and he couldn’t give up either because of his kidnapped daughter.

In the story, after Steadman’s unfortunate condition was set, the antagonist was introduced. Then, the story began to disentangle and I could read the rest of the novel in about two days. The novel is intense and full of suspense throughout but the beginning makes the reader to feel for the main character, and I think this is where the novel’s success takes hold. The story also wraps up efficiently with a happy ending.

In addition to Steadman’s ordeal, cultural differences of all characters and each character’s make-up are also masterfully handled, as well as the different settings and the fantastic twists and turns. I couldn’t help but feel like applauding the research that must have gone into this novel.

Should only the outlines of the events be told, what happened to the protagonist would seem unlikely. Yet, the author’s expertise makes the story feel highly credible. At the end, one comes out believing that such misfortune can happen. Plus, the writing, use of the language, the presentation, and the sequences of the scenes also show the proficiency of this author with his calling.
Dr.Steadman is in Florida to speak at a medical conference on his work in Nicaragua for Doctors Without Borders. He a plastic surgeon slated to play golf with a friend that afternoon. Before he knows what is happening,he stopped and interrogated by the police for something he did not do.Soon.life as he knows it is over. His life has been stolen and murders he did not commit follow him.as well as all local enforcement. He is on run!
It a fascinating book about he tries to unravel this deadly situation, after he finds the perpetrator has kidnapped his daughter. It is good book with a fast paced plot.
I don't remember how I found this author, but he is my new favorite. I'm only sorry he doesn't have more books in paperback. I bought all of his books available in paperback on Amazon. If you like surprises and complex plots, you won't be sorry.
Andrew Gross does it again in this incredible tale of what can happen when life goes wrong at every turn for the unfortunate soul. There are three stories that all mesh together and become one in this unforgettable and masterly orchestrated story.

Mr. Gross has become my favorite author. I can't wait to delve into another one of his excellent stories! I highly recommend all his books! He started out with James Patterson but now has branched out on his own and become a powerful and best-selling author! Congrats, Mr. Gross! I hope to learn something from you in my own writing!

I am an avid fan of Andrew Gross and will read absolutely everything he writes as soon as published for consumption. I would be over the moon happy and honored to someday be a beta reader for him! This plot is fantastic and is a MEGA page-turner. It's more than a thriller, it will make you tingle with excitement. Read it now!
OMG! Andrew Gross at his best. I thought "The One Man" was full of plots and subplots but "15 Seconds" had me biting my nails down to my elbows. Cleverly and intricately woven, each separate story found it's way to an explosive conclusion that had me spellbound.
I have read many of Andrew Gross' books. This story continues his amazing work, kept me on the edge of my seat, really. A father's love for his daughter and how he tries so desperately to save her. Highly recommended.
