Anna Jacobs' books are deservedly popular. She is one of the best writers of Lancashire sagas around. I also notice Beyond the Sunset has thus far made on the UK Library borrowing list so I guess I'm not alone in my love/need for a good read.

Anna Jacobs' books are deservedly popular.

She lay in the back of the cart, well wrapped in blankets, claiming she was all right d rags. They reheated it in hastily lit fires whenever they stopped for a meal that first day. It became very sooty, but it made a huge difference to Pandora’s comfort. Again they travelled till nearly dark, which meant they couldn’t overnight at the places where the mail cart changed horses.

Beyond the Sunset book. Set in Lancashire and Western Australia in the 1860s, Anna Jacobs' entrancing new saga follows the fortunes of the family that first appeared in Farewell to Lancashire.

Enjoyed this book so much I didn't want it to end!!!'. In the untamed outback of Western Australia, the Blake sisters are together again despite what seemed like unsurmountable odds. For Cassandra - reunited again with the man she loves - the Swan River Colony is a refuge that seems like a miracle after all her ordeals. The women in this series are strong, the topics have been not only topical of the time but relevant to any era. I love the way the author is so descriptive in her settings. Filled with adventure, romance and challenges for the characters.

I have already done a review on the first book in this series, Farewell to Lancashire, suffice to say - another great book from Anna Jacobs.

The third book in this series is Destiny's Path (The Swan River Saga).
