I like it when the women are the detectives! Great read!

Gladys Mitchell may be a "famous author", but her books do not appeal to me. She wastes pages on unnecessary chatter among he characters. Anyone wanting a "good read" murder mystery should not pick up one of these titles by Mitchell. Her characters are also quite shallow. I never felt as if I knew any of them--they were more cartoon characters than anything else. I bought two or three of Mitchells murder mysteries. They are all the same. Shallow and trite. Frankly, I didn't finish two of them-I got buried by all the irrelevant chatter.
