Don't listen to that horrible excuse for a description. It was obviously written by a woman who doesn't want you to find out the truth about female nature, or a cuckold man. IF YOU CALL YOURSELF A MAN, THIS BOOK IS ESSENTIAL

A book every man should at least read.

Published in 1905 this is a collection of proverbs and musings by cultures worldwide regarding women. Ranging from Chinese, German, Hindu, Scottish, Arabic, it covers the gamut. Included are quotes from Goethe, Shakespeare, and Elizabeth Barrett Browning among others.

Regarding the 'summary' posted above which states this book is 'misogyny', I close with this quote from the book: "O woman! lovely woman! Nature made thee To temper man; we had been brutes without you. Angels are painted fair to look like you"--
Der Bat
