Book 1 of 2 in the Christmas is Dead Series. While zombies have long been a part of the horror genre, it isn't until recently that I've taken an interest in this category of the undead. However, being the Ebenezer that I am, the idea of zombie Christmas stories appealed to me, so it was without reservations that I jumped into the grave, so to speak, with two feet and started reading Anthony Giangregorio's Christmas is Dead: A Zombie Anthology.

Book in the Dead History Series). by Anthony Giangregorio. The history of the walking dead is a long one. Since before man walked the Earth, the dead have been with us. Rotting, decrepit animated corpses have existed, and in many places, have helped create the evolution of the very history we all know as fact, but yet they have always remained hidden from mankind as the sands of time flowed through the hour glass. Every author in this amazing classic anthology offers a different, memorable take on the zombie mythology. Stories like "The Good Parts" by Les Daniels and "Eat Me" by Robert R. McCammon offer zombies that rot like any corpse does and eventually cease to be due to the nature of entropy; Stephen King's "The Home Office" gives us an alien-caused zombie plague. The stories are universally well-crafted, and the anthology succeeds in its diversity. The opening to the book is by George A. Romero. There are many reasons this anthology is considered a genre classic.

I've bought many zombie anthologies in recent years, and most of the time was dissapointed to find many contained stories that had very little to do with the genre. I felt mislead and cheated. But then I discovered Living Dead Press and Anthony Giangregorio. I bought Book Of The Dead vol 1 and 2. After reading them I bought vol 3 through 6, Christmas Is Dead vol 1 and Dawning Of The Dead. All were EXACTLY what I was searching for and found so scarce in the past. Giangregorio delivers what he claims to. He is by far my favorite editor as well as one of my favorite authors. Thank you so much Anthony, and please keep them coming!

If you like zombies, then you'll like this book. Not sure what the bad review is for. There are plenty of crappy zombie books out there, this isnt one of them.

Just that. Poorly written fan-fic. He doesn't know who edited the original BOOK OF THE DEAD nor does he know when it was published, and from there it goes down hill. The first story reads like a badly written retread of one of the movies. Thank god I didn't waste money on this P.O.S.
