Duncan Falconer has always lived a high stakes life. As an officer in the Special Boat Services for the British Royal Marines, Falconer’s novels are written with authenticity and command. Although he has written a few standalone works, Falconer is best known for his military thrillers featuring John Stratton. This super agent works for the British Royal Marines and goes across the world in rescue missions, covert operations, and military espionage. Duncan Falconer is the chosen pseudonym of a popular British author of the popular John Stratton series.

In war-torn Iraq, Stratton’s closest friend is killed whilst on operation, leaving behind a grieving wife and child – Stratton’s godson. My first time read of Falconer, and I now have a few more to read. Definitely recommend to others reading ACTION novels.

A well-written thriller. Kept me reading. Places the SBS at the forefront. Punks on the SEALs a bit. The reader will figure out what will happen to the SEAL exchange person, who is portrayed as a bit of a goober.

Having met and worked with several SBS operators, this book is spot on for what they can and will do.
