Period historical mystery fiction That transports the reader to medieval Times amid intriguing characters, events & plots. Well done series
The horrors th we just inflict on others is unholy. Henry the 8th is a great example of this animal behavior found in mankind.
Shallot is not my favorite of Doherty's protagonists. But, the twists and turns of this tale held my attention. Looking forward to the next in this series!
Well written, interesting plot and memorable characters as only Paul Doherty can write them. He makes you feel as though you are actually there.
I absolutely could not put this book down once I started reading it! Once again, Benjamin and a Roger have themselves in so deep it is hard to know how...even if...they will extricate themselves!
the tale is one that takes you through the the twists and turns of intrigue but keeps your attention. the authors capacity for description of the life-style of the time is is captivating. a most enjoyable read.
I am completely besotted with the ninety-plus year old Roger Shallot who writes these memoirs from his lush manor. Roger is crude, honest, deceitful and generally delightful as he dictates the stories of his youth to his confessor. I am absolutely enjoying this series
