O’Neill died Saturday at his home in London following a long battle with cancer, according to Iconic Images, the.

Terence Patrick O'Neill CBE (30 July 1938 – 16 November 2019) was a British photographer, known for documenting the fashions, styles, and celebrities of the 1960s. O'Neill's photographs capture his subjects candidly or in unconventional settings. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions. He was awarded an honorary fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society in 2004 and the society's Centenary Medal in 2011. His work is held in the collection of the National Portrait Gallery, London.

These are great photographs of Hollywood icons, definitely a period piece if only because all of the subjects are so relaxed and without pretention, something very honest about the images you don't feel like you are being sold something without your consent, if that makes any sense...The shots just looked like they were a load of fun.
I did have the privilege to become very familiar with these prints (& negatives) as I worked in the commercial darkroom where the licensed reprints were produced so this book is forever imprinted in my mind, which is fine by me.
More honest times, more innocent times maybe does not detract from the pure simplicity & directness of these images.
