Of the three Harriet Bean books that I purchased for my grandchildren, this is the weakest tale. However, it was written in the charming style of Alexander McCall Smith and I highly recommend it for young readers.

I bought this book for a 10 year old relative and have not read it. However, ANYTHING written by McCall Smith is always good.
