Another amazing Caroline B. Cooney book

Cooney is the author of The Face on the Milk Carton, and its companions . Caroline B. Cooney is the author of The Face on the Milk Carton, and its companions, Whatever Happened to Janie?, The Voice on the Radio, and What Janie Found, as well as many other acclaimed novels. 29th, 1704. While this book is fiction, it is based on historic fact. I appreciate that Ms. Cooney tells what is fact, what is fiction at the end of the story.

After so terrible a winter came an early spring. In canoes that held ten men, the Indians began coming as soon as the ice broke, bringing thousands of beaver pelts.
