E-Mail Marketing
You have built your web site, you can accept credit cards
to sell your products, you are getting a reasonable number of
visitors to your site but you are not making many sales.
In fact your conversion rate dismal. Less than 0.01%.
A thousand visitors and only one bought your product!
What's wrong! Assuming your product is in demand and of
good quality and reasonably priced
why is nobody buying?
It is a fact that people may not buy a product on the first
visit to a web site, they may not buy until they have visited
up to seven times. So how to you keep them coming
back? First you can provide unique content and let your
visitors know it is updated regularly. (Sticky Content) But as
well as this you can capture your visitor's email address and
send them regular emails telling them about the latest updates
and special offers. The best way to capture emails is to
offer something for free. Everybody likes something for
nothing, so offer them a free report, newsletter or ebook in
exchange for their email address. Once you have a good
opt-in list you can start your email campaign. You can buy
email lists but these can be out of date or not actually
relevant to your product and you could get accused of spam
(sending unsolicited emails) and at worst have you email
account disabled by your ISP. Using a list of people
that have already visited your site by using the search
engines and then requesting free information will produce much
better results than any list you can buy. Once you have your
email list you need to automate your email campaign, you
should be using autoresponders.
